If
you've been thinking about buying a long term
storage food emergency supply, listen up. Mountain
House, of which Survivor Mall is a large
distributor, announced to us and everybody else back
in October last year that their #10 Cans, "Just
In Cases Units" and "Best
Sellers Kits" would be delayed by weeks. Two
months later they said foods would not be available
for 3-4 months. This week they advised it will now
be 6 months or longer before those Mountain House
products will be available again. As a backup at the
first of the year, we started offering the lesser
known but equal quality and more affordable WISE
FOODS. As a result, WISE
FOODS orders have gone through the ceiling and
now they too are running about 6 weeks from order to
delivery. Part of the problem, we are told, is
growers cannot keep up with the global food demand
and too
much farmable ground has been devoted in recent
years to biofuel crops. Emergency food suppliers
simply cannot get the raw food products fast enough
to keep up with overwhelming demand. We do not want
to be alarmists, but if you have any plan to
purchase an emergency Wise
Foods Kit, Food Bars, or MRE supply, do it now.
Do not wait.
It may take a few
weeks to get some products, but when -- not if
-- the next emergency strikes, people will be
hoarding food and water, and most are packing heat
now (guns and ammo) to protect what they have. These
people understand (so do terrorists) that the United
States is only ONE EVENT AWAY FROM CHAOS. Look
around you. Read the headlines. See the largest
factories of food, potassium iodide, and other
emergency product manufacturers literally closing
their online stores and putting up signs like those
on Mountain
House's Official Website and Thyrosafe's
Factory Webpage that explain, due to
overwhelming demand, they are shutting down sales
for the time being and hope to reopen someday. Even
Walmart is warning that food prices are going to go
higher and higher. Unlike many, Survivor Mall
has not raised its LONG TERM STORAGE FOODS, or MRE,
or FOOD BARS prices in over a year, though our costs have
gone up several times. At this time we have these
products in stock and can still get WISE foods from
the factory to you as fast as any other distributor
(4-6 weeks) and at low price. So if you need an
emergency food storage backup plan, we cannot stress
highly enough -- get the product now!

Officials: We Are Unprepared For Nuclear Emergency
U.S. officials say the nation's health system is
ill-prepared to cope with a catastrophic release of
radiation, despite years of focus on the possibility
of a terrorist "dirty bomb" or an
improvised nuclear device attack. A blunt assessment
circulating among American officials says
"Current capabilities can only handle a few
radiation injuries at any one time." That
assessment, prepared by the Department of Homeland
Security and stamped "for official use
only," says "there is no strategy for
notifying the public in real time of recommendations
on shelter or evacuation priorities." The
Homeland Security report, plus several other reports
and interviews with almost two dozen experts inside
and outside the government, reveal other gaps that
may increase the risks posed by a nuclear accident
or terrorist attack. One
example: The U.S. Strategic National Stockpile stopped
purchasing the best-known agent to counter
radioactive iodine-induced thyroid cancer in young
people, potassium iodide, about two years
ago and designated the limited remaining quantities
"excess," according to information
provided by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention to ProPublica. Despite
this, the CDC website still lists potassium iodide
as one of only four drugs in the stockpile
specifically for use in radiation emergencies. [Did
